Are you struggling in your relationships? Do you feel that your marriage is stuck in a constant cycle of conflict and you don’t know how to fix it? Do you suffer from symptoms of trauma/PTSD? Is anxiety or depression keeping you feeling stuck with no way out?

You deserve a safe, confidential space to explore and gain a deeper insight into who you are and what you want out of life and your relationships. You’re on a unique journey, and I’m here to provide knowledgeable and practical tools for you to navigate it. My training allows me to see obstacles in your path that may be leading you to feel stuck. My goal is for you and me to work together to heal and overcome, improving your quality of life and relationships in the process.

Relationships

Are you in a relationship that once felt strong and connected but now feels distant and lonely? You want to get back what you had but feel helpless about where to start. Dating and relationships are hard, and many often struggle. I work with individuals and couples to better understand the patterns that leave them feeling unfulfilled in this area and move in the direction of behaviors that lead to healthy, rewarding connections.

Trauma/PTSD

Trauma often gets in the way of your growth, leaving feelings of hopelessness. Traumatic events alter the way you view the world, your attachments in relationships, and your body chemistry.

Social connectedness is what we all crave, yet these negative experiences distort how we want to interact with others. With a combination of techniques, I can help you relieve stressors and prevent them from taking over your daily life, allowing you to experience the good all around you. You can learn to identify emotions without judgment and gain insight into how prior experiences may have contributed to beliefs that are contributing to these emotions.

Who is Brenna Prince?

Brenna Prince was born and raised in Medina, Ohio. After completing her bachelor’s degree in justice studies and psychology from Kent State University, she jumped into the police academy. For the following 6 years, she worked as an undercover narcotics detective.

Brenna wanted to expand her career beyond drug investigation, which led her to South Carolina in 2015. She spent 4 years at a local police department as a patrol officer, narcotics detective, and school resource officer. During this time, Brenna learned a lot about the everyday problems that different populations in her community experience and what help was available. It became evident to her that people were requesting law enforcement for mental health concerns more than anything else. Brenna began questioning whether policing was the best way she could personally make the most impact in helping others.

She then applied to The Citadel where she received her master’s degree in clinical psychology. After graduate school, she switched careers and began her clinical work in outpatient substance abuse treatment and low-income community mental health treating adults with a wide variety of concerns.

Brenna is a foodie at heart, and when not working, she loves to try out new restaurants in the Charleston area and replicate the meals at home. Her husband and 2 lab dogs are the best taste testers. Quality time is her love language, so spending time with family and friends is normally where she will be. Her other love language is the Cleveland Browns football team winning games, but we can’t have it all.
